A Few Things to Remember:

Many classes involve practicing skills on the floor; therefore, we recommend that participants wear clothing that allows for easy movement.  As the course requires physical activity, we urge you to speak to a physician regarding any health problems.  A confirmation letter with directions will be mailed  to all participants.  All classes are held at the American Red Cross office in Butler.  Our address is 312 Mercer Street.  If you do not receive this information, please call 724-283-2810 to confirm your registration.

Refunds and Cancellations:

Class size is limited and registrations are received on a pre-paid, first-come, first-serve basis.  There must be 8 students registered to conduct a class.  We will make every attempt to contact you within 24 hours of canceling a class due to low enrollment.  If we cancel your class, you may transfer to another class or have your fee refunded.

We regret that we cannot issue refunds if you call within the 5 business days prior to a class. This means for Saturday classes, you must cancel no later than 8 calendar days before the scheduled class.

If you cancel your registration within the accepted cancellation period a $5.00 processing fee will be deducted from your refund.

Lunch:

For daylong courses we recommend you bring your lunch, or bring money to purchase lunch from a local restaurant.  We have a water cooler on the premises.

Teachers – special notice!

If you are a teacher, you may be eligible to receive continuing education credits by taking any of the classes listed in this schedule.  Contact your school superintendent to see if the American Red Cross is listed as an Act 48 training provider.  We will provide you with whatever documentation you need to earn your credits.  If we are not a provider, add us to your list so you can take CPR and First Aid classes and earn your con-ed credits!
