 Wilderness First Aid

Learn to train students in CPR, AED and First Aid.  You will review course materials and learn presentation techniques, evaluation methods, and procedures for preparing American Red Cross reports.

Wilderness First Aid is a course for those who live, work, or play in remote areas- away from the usual EMS service.  Even though the emergency workers may be trained to search for and rescue those in need, there may be a delay in notification of assistance, the time required to get to the patient, or in moving the patient to more advanced treatment.  In situations such as these, advanced first aid training is needed.  This course is ideal for:

·         Backpackers and hikers

·         Boy Scouts traveling to Camp Philmont

·         Utility workers

·         Forest Rangers

·         Hunters

Please call (724) 283-2810 for information on registration, dates, and times
